Finite Element Analysis

We provide high quality finite element stress analysis reports using linear and non-linear techniques. Non-linear is used for load conditions, large deflections, plasticity, and contact stress analysis.

All reports are verified by an independent third party, for example DNV, TUV, British Standards according to project requirements. All reports are verified using hand calculations.

Mesh quality and convergence are methods used to assess the quality of the analysis itself. Analysis is never carried out in isolation.

Results and experience are used to verify the designs and to recommend efficient components, ultimately using FEA to reduce costs.

Fatigue

We design our products with fatigue in mind, producing reports as part of our stress analysis services. Lifetime and number of cycles to failure can be predicted using traditional S-N curves using standard DNV-RP-C203.

Calculations

We provide advanced hand calculation reports as a service to verify customer designs and our own products. The reports available include stress analysis, hydraulic sizing, and dynamic performance (for power, speed, and torque).

Advanced techniques used include, stress concentrations, stiffness relations, static indeterminacy, and fatigue. These well proven, traditional techniques are used to create accurate mathematical models of the product. All calculations are presented using Mathcad Software. All reports are verified by an independent third party, for example, Lloyds, DNV, TUV, British Standards according to project requirements.
